On July 31st, 300 people were on the street in Leipzig, demonstrating for equal rights between refugees and against the multiple discriminations, that are applied to them. Hassan and Donia took part in organizing the demonstration. Mark talks with them about the hierarchies that are legally applied on different groups of refugees. Also they discuss the question how this demo was a reaction to the measures of the European Union and Germany towards the refugees from Ukraine. And what comes next after the demo? Listen in!
Note: Donia mentions that some third-state nationals were already deported to Ukraine. One can assume that some people were pushed into the “voluntary return” [“Freiwillige Rückkehr”]. The cases are not documented yet.
